18-Month-Old Girl Found Dead In Sugar Hill

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An 18-month-old girl from Connecticut was found dead by NYPD officers late Friday evening.

Police responded to reports of a baby in distress near the intersection of West 150th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue just after 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, responding officers discovered Michaela Henry unconscious and unresponsive with no apparent trauma according to police.

The officers rushed the child to Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced deceased, according to police.

The Medical Examiner will determine the child's cause of death as the investigation is ongoing.
