1/8 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hi all!

You don't need a weatherman to know it's cold out. Brutally cold wind chills started the day.

We dipped as low as -23 degrees wind chill in Monticello, N.Y. The city had a real feel of -10.

The actual thermometer dropped to -4 degrees up north, and as low as 8 here in NYC.

Some good news... that arctic air is leaving for a little bit. Another Alberta clipper eyes the Tri-State tomorrow morning. Up to an inch, maybe 1.5 inches for some north and east, or higher elevated areas.

This concerns me because it coincides with the morning commute. Although its not much of an event, it still poses problems. Many of you live north of NYC, so you will be affected. Please travel with caution tomorrow morning.

Another good thing is the sun will be returning after noon. Should be a cold but pretty night Friday.

Saturday is another bone chiller. Not getting out of the 20s. Sunday's MUCH better topping off in the upper 30s.

Check back in soon for an update!
