14-Year-Old Jersey City Boy Accused Of Threatening Student With Loaded Gun

NEW JERSEY (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Jersey City seventh-grader accused of bringing a loaded handgun to school and pointing it at another student is facing multiple charges.

The 14-year-old boy, whose name was not released, has been charged with making terroristic threats and weapons offenses after the incident at School 38 on Monday morning, the Jersey Journal reported.

He was being held at youth detention center in Secaucus, N.J.

Authorities have not said how the teen obtained the weapon, but did say the .22 caliber was not reported stolen.

No injuries were reported, and the school was never placed under lockdown.
