What a day! Temperatures ended up a bit higher than expected, with many folks well into the 50s -- a taste of spring in January. We'll have increasing clouds tonight with some patchy fog/drizzle overnight. It'll be warmer with temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

Warmth continues tomorrow with clouds along with a chance for afternoon showers. Expect a high of 54 in NYC, a good 15 above normal. We'll have cooler sunshine Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 40s. Expect a good soaking on Wednesday as a frontal system moves through. It'll be quite warm, with many spots making a run at 60 degrees that could even have a few thunderstorms.

After that we're back down to more seasonable levels by the end of the week. We're watching a possible storm that may try forming offshore, but as of now it's too soon to tell. Looks like a few flurries could fall across eastern Long Island and perhaps the Jersey Shore, but we'll keep it at that for now.

Check back soon for the latest on our wacky weather!
