1/3 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

The first storm of the year is underway and if a few folks are still holding onto wintry precip, they will switch over to rain very quickly. Rain continues overnight and may be heavy at times, so be careful if you're out on the roads as some roadway flooding is possible. On average, expect up to an inch of rain, perhaps isolated amounts of 1.5-2".

For tomorrow, expect a very mild day with spotty showers. Temps surge to a high of 60 in NYC and folks in central/southern New Jersey will be seeing mid-60s! The cold front rolls through tomorrow night, bringing one last hurrah of showers, maybe some thunder and gusty winds as well as much colder air.

Highs on Monday are only in the upper 20s/low 30s. Tuesday is going to be another cold day with a few snow showers and a high only reaching the freezing mark in NYC.
