1/29 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Clouds will fill in the remainder of the afternoon, but the snow holds off. Highs will be in the mid 30s.

Light snow will fill in tonight. It will be on and off through sunrise Friday with snow accumulations of a coating - 2". Winds will pick up the remainder of the day with increasing sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s.

By tomorrow night we'll see gusts in excess of 35 mph as cold air rushes in. Wind chills overnight into Saturday will be subfreezing across much of the area with wake up temperatures in the single digits.

There will be plenty of sunshine on Saturday, but it will remain blustery and brutally cold. High of only 22° with wind chills of -5 to 10°.

The daylight hours on Sunday should stay generally quiet, but we're still keeping an eye on a system that will likely pass to our south Sunday night into Monday that could bring us some snow.
