1/28 CBS2 Wednesday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Evening all,

Finally, the snow has ended as of early morning hours. Orient, N.Y. was the "winner" with 30 inches. Southampton followed suit with 29 inches. Basically, all of Suffolk County was slammed with snow. Even Nassau got it pretty bad with totals ranging from 12 to 18 inches.

The city stayed around a foot of snow. Queens: 12 inches, Bronx: 11.8 inches, Manhattan: 9.8 inches, Brooklyn: 9.0 inches, Staten Island: 9.0 inches.

Today is cold and sunny and tomorrow is the same. Clouds fill in by late evening and a clipper system heads our way. A general coating to 3 inches is expected.

I'm only putting a 3- or 4-inch possibility because of our current snowpack, and the li'l clipper gets a bit of strength as is passes the city. See attached.

Check back in shortly for an update on Sunday-Monday's potential storm.
