12/25 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark D. McIntyre, Jr., CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all, and Merry Christmas! It's been a pretty busy couple of days around here - not even counting the shopping, cooking, and traveling. The mess of a rainstorm we had Christmas Eve into early this morning is outta here, and we just have some clouds and wind in its wake. It's going to be a mostly clear night ahead with temps in the upper 20s to mid 30s. Compare that to the 62° reading Central Park had overnight!

Friday looks like a beauty with more sunshine and dry air, but it will be cooler. Expect a high temp of 49 in the City, maybe a few folks find 50. So it will be cooler, but it will still be well above normal (we should be at 41 this time of year). As for the weekend ahead? Lookin' good on Saturday, nice and mild with temps maxing out in the low 50s along with blue skies. Clouds dominate on Sunday along with a few showers passing along through before a cold front knocks our temps down for the end of the month and year.
