12/19 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

It's finally Friday evening and it sure is chilly out! That being said, the chill will be sure to bring out the spirit of the season. Temps this evening will be in the low and mid-30s with a northwest breeze, so grab a scarf and gloves if you're heading out to see the city sights or go shopping. Some clouds move through tonight with a low of 30 in the city and 20s elsewhere.

The weekend ahead looks OK, just cold! Temps will max out in the upper 30s and low 40s with partly sunny skies. Saturday night into early Sunday there could be some passing rain/snow showers, especially for eastern portions of Long Island. We're not expecting anything more than slick roads, perhaps a dusting in the most extreme case.

Monday, clouds stick around and it's still unsettled. Some showers move into the area during the afternoon with temps in the low to mid-40s, let's go with 44 for NYC. Still damp and cloudy Tuesday with drizzle and showers and temps up a few notches to 48 in the city
