By Mark McIntyre Jr., CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all! It's been a nice looking day through the area, but it was on the chilly and breezy side. Temps maxed out in only the mid-30 to 40s. Expect lingering clouds tonight with a low in the 20s and 30s, 33 for NYC.

Friday's going to be a good lookin' day, but there won't be pure sunshine. It will also be on the chilly side once again-- expect similar high temps tomorrow based on today. We're going with a high of 41 in NYC, some folks may find 45.

Then the all-important weekend forecast: it's looking better now than it had a few days ago. While it will be on the cold side, and with extra clouds, the storm threat that we were monitoring looks slim to none. Not to say it'll be totally dry, but we're only looking at a few stray sprinkles and flurries compared to a major storm. Expect highs in the upper 30s, low 40s on both Saturday and Sunday.

Check back later for a look at the Christmas forecast!
