12/16 CBS2 Tuesday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello everyone!

Hope you all are having a nice day. As forecast, a little light rain is overtaking the Tri-State -- generally amounts should be less than half an inch. Suffolk County could see some training showers overnight.

Most of the wet weather will simply be a memory by the time you wake up. A stray shower or even a snowflake (well north) is possible tomorrow. But so are temps in the 50s!

A little mild push is in store for Wednesday. Because we are in between fronts, we actually catch a piece of the warm sector and temps rise because of it.

Temps cool down to normal on Thursday and a few flurries return, but we will have mostly sunny skies. It always amazes me when we have mostly sunny days in the winter and the flakes are flying... nature's wild.

I digress, check back in later for some details about the weekend storm I'm sure many of you've been hearing about.
