12/14 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon, everyone!

After a mostly cloudy morning, we're headed into the mid 40s this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds. It's still going to be breezy at times, so you'll want the winter coat if headed out. Great football weather for the Giants and Redskins over at MetLife Stadium, with a kickoff temp around 44. Expect mostly clear skies tonight, with a low of 34 in the city and upper 20s to low 30s in the suburbs.

Monday we'll see more sunshine than today as high pressure remains in control. Highs once again will reach the mid 40s. Tuesday looks to feature the warmest temps, with highs around 50. Not too shabby for the middle of December!

Unfortunately, the warmest and sunniest days will not coincide, as clouds will be on the increase Tuesday ahead of a weak cold front. Looks like some rain will move through Tuesday afternoon and evening, and temps drop a little bit after that ... low to mid 40s for Wednesday and Thursday with partly sunny skies.

Check back in soon for the latest. Enjoy your Sunday!
