12/10 CBS2 Wednesday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello Everyone!

Well right now, we're under just about the worst of the snowfall for New York City. A steady band of light, but blowing snow has set up from Western New Jersey all the way out to the far end of Long Island. The Hudson Valley is catching a break for now, but snow should kick back up in a few hours.

I think the snow will lighten up tonight after 9 or 10 p.m., resulting in just a few flurries overnight.

But the cooler temps will create some icy travel, really anywhere below 32, and that's basically all of us. So be careful driving tomorrow during the morning commute.

Temps should peak around 40 for most, 30s north. Hopefully, we get some good totals to report from our neighbors in the Catskills!

It's a good weekend to go skiing!

Check back in early and often during this busy, busy season.
