11th Annual 'Urban Advantage' Science Fair To Be Held At American Museum Of Natural History
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The 11th Annual "Urban Advantage" science fair will be held Saturday at the American Museum of Natural History.
WCBS 880's Ginny Kosola says the event is all about educating a new generation for science.
Museum president Ellen Fuller says 900 NYC middle school students have been working with her museum as well as New York Hall of Science, Bronx Zoo, NY Aquarium, NY Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Queens Botanical Garden and Staten Island Zoo.
Fuller says there is a wide range of projects, from subway bacteria to the role of fear on blood pressure.
"Their teachers will be there, their parents will be there, and it's a very proud and exciting day," Fuller says.
