11/7 CBS2 Friday Evening & Weekend Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Today was a bona fide chilly one. Winds picked up as the day went on and kept our real feel temps in the 40s. A few towns in our northern most fringes did not escape the 30s!

Now that's really cold for early November.

Unfortunately, the degrees will keep falling off the thermometer until the sun rises again tomorrow. Waking up around New York City on Saturday, you'll be at about 35 degrees. Waking up in, say, Rockland County -- 28 degrees.

Most everyone will have a reading in the 20s and 30s.

But Saturday is looking to be a mostly pleasant day with blue skies. A weak front may spit out a few sprinkles overnight Saturday but clouds clear by dawn, and we tack on a few more degrees topping off in the mid-50s Sunday.

Monday is a really nice start to the workweek with temps soaring even higher.

Check back in later for the Veterans Day outlook that has some surprising temps!
