1/15 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello everyone,

Today's hasn't been so bad! The sun was shining, the wind has lightened, and the weather's quiet.

It's even pretty quiet across most of the country. A weak low is skirting across the south bringing some light rain. Even some snow is falling in the Appalachians.

We stay under the influence of high pressure tomorrow and we tack on a few degrees.

Friday night, temps fall off big time. Saturday morning starts off incredibly cold. Single digits and teens. We warm only to the upper 20s and low 30s.

Temps actually continue to rise overnight Saturday ahead of a warm front. The front will combine with a low yet to form in the Gulf and bring us a chance for rain and snow late Sunday into Monday morning.

This has the potential to big a big hit, but it'd doesn't seem to have all the elements. It looks too warm and just too far offshore. But we will monitor very closely.

Check back in soon for an update!
