1/12: CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Morning,

We're waking up to a messy mix today across the tri-state region, with snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain, just in time for the morning commute. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect until 10 AM for the city and 1 PM for the NW suburbs.

Rain will continue to overtake the wintry precip as we head through the day, with temps rising into the upper 30s to near 40. Your afternoon looks mainly wet, so you'll definitely want the umbrella!

The good news is we clear out very nicely after today! Mostly sunny skies for Tuesday, but colder with highs in the upper 20s to around 30. This trend continues into Wednesday, with temps around freezing.

Be sure to check back in later, and take your time this morning, especially if your location is seeing freezing rain.
