11/13 CBS2 Thursday Morning Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning all,

Cold air has arrived. Sadly for those who like the heat, it's going to be here for a while -- at least a week.

We have a very busy weather pattern knocking at our doorstep. Clouds will increase today, and by evening's end, some rain and a little snow could be coating our ground. Any light snow accumulation would be confined to cold surfaces and grassy spots, and mainly north of Route 287.

It can 100 percent slow down the morning commute tomorrow, but more so because its the FIRST time we'd be dealing with winter weather -- and most of us are not used to the conditions.

Any snow the towns to the north receive will melt away as we warm to the 40s.

Saturday is a legit frigid start. I believe New York City will get its first official freeze.

Sunday ushers in more clouds, but more degrees on the thermometer.

Sunday night... a rain chance, maybe some snow? Check back in later for more details.
