11/10: CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

Good afternoon, everyone.

High pressure will continue to dominate this afternoon, providing us with lots of sunshine, light winds out of the south, and temps peaking around 60°. So, expect a day much like yesterday, only a few degrees warmer.

Tomorrow we'll see more clouds in the mix as high pressure begins to slip away; temps will peak around 64°, putting us nearly 10° above average. Some drizzle may develop that night as we find ourselves sandwiched between to systems, but as of now, we're not expecting much in the way of rainfall.

The Wednesday morning commute could be affected by some fog... we'll have more on that in the coming days. Otherwise, expect a generally quiet day with clouds giving way to more sunshine and a strengthening afternoon breeze. As of now, it looks like that's our best shot at another 60+° day for some time, so enjoy it!

That cold air you've been hearing about (a.k.a. the "Polar Vortex") will finally work its way into our area on Thursday. Highs that day will easily be about 10-15° colder than the previous day with afternoon temperatures struggling to get out of the 40s.

We'll have more on the cold in the coming days. Plus, is there a chance we could see a few flakes later this week? Stay tuned!
