10/9 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Showers will push in this afternoon; the best chance of us seeing any activity will be during the rush. And there's a slight chance we could see a thunderstorm... brief heavy rain and ponding on the roadways is possible. It will be warmer and more humid with highs soaring well into the 70s.

After a few leftover evening showers, we'll at least see partial clearing into the overnight hours. Temps will be a little cooler than last night in the mid 50s.

Sunshine will win out tomorrow as high pressure beings to settle in. It will be a little cooler with highs only in the low to mid 60s.

Sunday's looking pretty good as well; and we'll even tack on a few more degrees... highs near 70°.

As for Columbus Day, we'll see sunshine once again with even milder temps!
