10/4 CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning folks! Gonna be a much better day overall compared to the last two! Looking good for the JDRF Walks in Queens & Staten Island, just cloudy with temps in the mid 50s. For the afternoon, perhaps a stray shower, but there could be breaks of sun late in the day. It'll be warmer with temps in the upper 50s/low 60s, but still windy...northeast gusts of 35-45 mph look like a good bet for the coasts, so we'll have coastal flooding concerns continuing.

The new work week will start off even nicer with more sunshine a high of 66...it'll still be breezy as Joaquin tracks to our east. We won't have any direct effects but our beaches will have rough surf.

Looks like we'll have a stretch of nice weather to round out the week with sunshine and mild temps in the upper 60s and low 70s. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
