2 People Struck, 1 Killed By Subway Train In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Two people have been struck by a subway train in Brooklyn, killing one and leaving the other hospitalized.

The MTA tells CBS2 the two were struck around 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a station near East 16th Street and Avenue S in Sheepshead Bay.

The agency tweeted the two people entered the tracks in between the above-ground subway stations. They were hit by a Q train.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center. That victim's condition is unknown.

Service on the Q line was temporarily disrupted as police investigated.
