Donations will support Garfield Unity Pantry
The Garfield Unity Pantry will receive some donations from the turkey drive to support its unique way of getting nutritious food to those in need.
Everything that winds up in people's carts there is free. Clients come once a month and have a selection of fresh produce; staples like eggs, milk and proteins; and reliable options of healthy basics.
Since opening a little over one year ago, the unity pantry has served more than 18,000 families and distributed about 750,000 pounds of food.
