Woman to face charges for deadly ambulance crash in Mass.

MILFORD, Mass. - A woman has been cited for motor vehicle homicide after allegedly running a stop sign and crashing into an ambulance south of Boston on Tuesday, killing the patient it was transporting, reports CBS Boston.


Authorities reported that Lisa Zemack's car slammed into a passing ambulance in Milton, causing it to roll over. The ambulance was carrying 58-year-old Karen Scott, of Upton, who was killed by the crash.
A paramedic in the ambulance was also injured. The driver was unharmed.

The District Attorney's office said Framingham resident Zemack, 61, will be summoned to Milford District Court at a later date, for arraignment for vehicular homicide by negliegent operation and driving to endanger.
