Woman found stabbed to death inside Florida home

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities are continuing to investigate the stabbing death of a women found inside her Orange County home on Tuesday, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

According to the station, the fatal stabbing took place late Monday night, and her brother is a person of interest.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Debra McCloud, 57, called 911 saying that her brother, Devan Carter, 30, was making a serious threat, reports the station.

When deputies arrived, they said that Carter was acting strangely and reportedly told them to search the house -- which is when they found the body of McCloud in a room, the Sheriff's Office said.

Carter reportedly struggled with deputies as they tried to detain him under the Baker Act (a Florida law that supplies individuals with emergency services and temporary detention for mental health evaluation), but he was eventually taken into custody, reports the station.

Carter faces charges of first-degree murder, reports the station.
