Woman convicted in grisly Joliet, Ill. double murder

CHICAGO - A 20-year-old woman has been convicted of two counts of murder for her role in a grisly double slaying, reports CBS Chicago.

Bethany McKee was found guilty of first-degree murder Friday in the 2013 strangling deaths of 22-year-olds Eric Glover and Terrance Rankins at a house in Joliet, Ill., according to the station. Police said the victims were acquainted with their killers.

McKee was one of four people accused of planning a robbery that resulted in the deaths of Glover and Rankins, the station reports. Fellow suspect Alisa Massaro previously pleaded guilty to reduced charges and agreed to testify against her co-defendants in exchange for a 10-year sentence.

The other two accused - Joshua Miner, 26, and Adam Landerman, 21 - allegedly strangled the two victims. CBS New York reports McKee's attorneys said their client was not in the room when the men were killed. Prosecutors countered that McKee had numerous opportunities to contact authorities after the men were killed, but chose not to do so.

Police reports in the case revealed Massaro and Miner even had sex on Glover's and Rankins's bodies after the murders, according to the station.
