Woman, baby found dead in Mich., boyfriend surrenders
EASTPOINTE, Mich. - Authorities say the boyfriend of a 29-year-old woman found dead along with the couple's 13-month-old daughter in a Detroit-area home has turned himself in to police, reports CBS Detroit.
Police were called to the Eastpointe home around 9 p.m. Thursday after the woman's father found the bodies.
They have not said how the woman, identified as Monique Rakowski, and her young daughter died -- but they have said they are investigating the case as a double-homicide, according to the station. WDIV-TV reports that the victims were stabbed to death.
Officials have described the woman's boyfriend, who is also the child's father, as a person of interest in the deaths. He reportedly turned himself in to Dearborn police Friday morning.
According to the station, investigators are still trying to locate Rakowski's vehicle, a dark blue 2007 Chevy Impala with Michigan license plate number 1HXJ18.
