Wife charged with fatally stabbing husband in their Oregon home

COOS BAY, Ore. - A 43-year-old woman has been arrested after a grand jury decided to charge her with the murder of her husband, found dead in their home on March 22, reports CBS affiliate KCBY.

Christopher Koester's death occurred under what authorities considered "suspicious circumstances," according to the station. An autopsy later revealed Koester, also 43, died of internal bleeding resulting from a stab wound to the abdomen, according to a DA's report. The medical examiner classified his death a homicide, according to the station.

The investigation continued for several months and a case was then presented to the grand jury.

On Thursday, the panel returned an indictment charging Priscilla Koester with murder, alleging she "unlawfully and intentionally caused the death of Mr. Koester," according to the DA.

She was arrested on the warrant Tuesday morning without incident, according to the station.
