Watch Neil Patrick Harris' first Oscars promo

Neil Patrick Harris has a gift idea for you -- telling your family to watch him host the Oscars.

In his short-but-sweet first promo video, the actor stands in front of a giant Oscar statuette and encourages viewers to do just that.

This will be Harris' first time hosting the Academy Awards. When the gig was confirmed back in October, he said that hosting the ceremony "is a bucket list dream come true."

The Oscars will air live on ABC on Feb. 22, 2015. Watch the promo video below:
