Virginia woman charged with trespassing at Will Smith's home

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles prosecutors say a Virginia woman trespassed at the home of actor Will Smith and refused to leave.

Ariel Archer was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court in Van Nuys.

Prosecutors say a housekeeper found the 26-year-old Richmond, Virginia woman in the kitchen of the Calabasas house on March 21. Smith, the star of "Men in Black" and other well known films, his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has a recurring role on the show "Gotham," and their children were not home at the time.

Prosecutors say the woman faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor trespassing charge.

A phone number couldn't immediately be located to reach Archer for comment.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department continues investigating the case.
