Virginia mom found stabbed to death in home

ARLINGTON, Va. - Authorities are investigating after a 42-year-old Arlington, Virginia woman was found stabbed to death in her home, reports CBS affiliate WUSA.

Arlington County police found the body of Bonnie Black on Friday. Police say they were called to the home after a passerby spotted Black's pajama-clad 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son in the yard.

Court records indicate Black was nearing the end of a divorce with the father of the children. Police said they had been called to the home previously for reported domestic violence and were exploring whether that was connected to Black's death.

According to WUSA, police say Black had a protective order against the father.

Arlington police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck says the children's father went voluntarily to police headquarters to be questioned by detectives and that he was neither detained nor charged. His truck was seized as part of the investigation.
