Video shows stunning view of Hurricane Vance from space

NASA's camera on the International Space Station captured an amazing view of Hurricane Vance as it moved across the Pacific Ocean.

The video of the storm was captured on Sunday as Vance was moving about 500 miles west of Manzanillo, Mexico. The view was recorded by NASA's High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment on the Space Station, which provides live HD video views of Earth from orbit. The hurricane's eye is clearly visible.

Hurricane Vance turned from a tropical storm into a Category 1 storm on Sunday. The storm is now weakening as it moves toward land, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.
