Two arrested for murder of transgender woman inside Md. hotel

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Two D.C. residents were arrested Tuesday in connection with the murder of a transgender woman inside a Montgomery County hotel, reports CBS affiliate WUSA.

According to Montgomery County police, Arbra Bethea, 17, and Christopher Renier, 21, have been both charged with first-degree murder after police say they killed 22-year-old Keyonna Blakeney inside the Rockville Red Roof in April.

Blakeney was found inside a room at the hotel with multiple sharp force injuries on April 16, according to police. An investigation found that Blakeney and multiple acquaintances were renting rooms at the hotel to engage in prostitution.

Bethea and Renier have also been charged with armed robbery, reports the station.
