Twitter now lets you tweet GIFs on web and mobile
Whether you pronounce it gif or jif -- the ever-popular GIF is finally available on Twitter.
Twitter announced on Wednesday that it now supports graphic interchange format, or GIF, files, so users can now send and receive tweets with animated graphics attached.
GIFs -- which play like short videos on a continuous loop -- can now be seen and shared through the Twitter website, iPhone and Android apps. Without having to click a link to go to a separate page, GIFs will appear on Twitter users' timelines.

The GIF files must be smaller than 3 MB to work, and you add them just like tweeting a photo.
