Ex-TV personalities enter plea after baby tests positive for cocaine

Couple charged after baby tests positive for cocaine

TUCSON, Ariz. --Two former Tucson TV personalities have pleaded guilty to a felony count of endangerment after their baby’s body was found to have cocaine.

Krystin Lisaius and husband Somchai Lisaius filed the plea during on Wednesday morning. They face up to two years in prison or probation and the child abuse and drug charges previously filed were dropped.

The baby was in the care of a grandparent following the temporary hospitalization.

Police say the baby was taken to the hospital on May 15 after being breastfed and appearing to be in distress. Tests revealed there was cocaine in the baby’s body, and police learned the couple had a party the night before.

Attorney Michael Piccarreta said in June that his clients are good, loving parents who were “in the midst of putting their lives back together.”
