Trump: Clinton having "tough time" against Sanders in 2016 race

Donald Trump said Monday that Hillary Clinton is having a "tough time" in the 2016 race against Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont.

"I think she's having a tough time. He should be easy to beat. I mean, how can you lose like this," the GOP presidential candidate said on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon."

"He really isn't even a Democrat," he said about Sanders. But he said he's a socialist, and I think he may be a step beyond a socialist."

Trump later admitted he thinks "she'll win," although her use of a private email server is still under investigation.

"She certainly has a race that's different than people thought," he said.

Trump will face off against his GOP opponents on Thursday night at the Fox Business debate. He said he enjoys the debates and said he's been ready for them for a while.

"I've sort of been preparing for 30 years," he told Fallon.
