Tracy Morgan's TV series "will be waiting for him," FX says

The home of Tracy Morgan's new TV series says the show is waiting for him once he's well, but that his recovery is all that matters now.

FX Networks released a statement Tuesday addressing the future of Morgan's upcoming comedy series after he was critically injured in a highway crash Saturday in New Jersey.

"The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident," FX Networks and FX Productions said in the statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families."

FX's comedy-centric spinoff channel, FXX, ordered 10 episodes of the Morgan-starring show back in April. The half-hour, untitled series was created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton andLuvh Rakhe (of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" fame) and was scheduled to start filming in August for a January premiere on FXX.
