The spin-off of "The Good Wife" has a title

Production is underway on the spin-off of recently wrapped legal drama “The Good Wife,” and now the show officially has a title.

The new series, following several characters from the award-winning show which starred Julianna Marguiles, will be called “The Good Fight,” CBS announced Monday.

Filming has begun in New York City on the new series, the network said.

Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo and Sarah Steele will lead the cast, which picks up a year after the series finale of “The Good Wife,” following a major financial scandal that wipes out the savings of Diane Lockhart, played by Baranski.  Also among the cast are newcomers Rose Leslie, Bernadette Peters, Delroy Lindo, and Paul Guilfoyle.

“The Good Fight” will launch new episodes on CBS’ digital On Demand and live-streaming service, CBS All Access, after a broadcast debut in February 2017.
