The reason why Andy Cohen never stops working

Andy Cohen is no stranger to experiencing migraines.

With a career spanning decades and multiple platforms, the Emmy-award winning host, producer, and author knows very much about how detrimental the head pains can be on the rest of your life. That's why it makes perfect sense Cohen chose to team up with Excedrin on their latest campaign -- "The Migraine Experience." The campaign seeks to unlock a new level of understanding around migraines and the impact they have on the daily lives of 36 million sufferers in the U.S

Cohen talked to CBS News about the new partnership, what he does with his extremely limited free time and Anderson Cooper's adorable giggle.

You have a daytime radio show, a talk show late at night and you're a producer on several television series. When do you get a break, and what do you do when you're not working?

I don't get many breaks recently. But the truth of the matter is, I have, like, 10 jobs and I love them all. So my passion for everything is sort of what drives me. What I always say about working in TV is you don't work in TV, you get to work in TV. So that's very much how I feel.

Even when you aren't working, you spend time reaching out and connecting with your fans, whether it's via Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. Why is it important for you to keep in communication with your fans?

I think that people in this moment in time crave connections and authenticity. I am very much who I am on my show, on the radio and in my book as I am in my day-to-day life and on social media. There is a real connection that I have with the people who watch my show. And I believe in fostering, maintaining and continuing it. The reality of where we live today is you need to be connected.

Why did you decide to partner with Excedrin for this campaign?

I experienced migraines growing up. Thankfully I outgrew them. There are 36 million people suffering from migraines in this country, and they are often misunderstood. So Excedrin launched the world's first augmented reality migraine simulator where you can experience the symptoms of a migraine without actually feeling any of the pain. It's really great just for friends and family to connect to people who are going through it because it's way more than a headache.

You are also on tour this year with your good friend Anderson Cooper. What's been the best part about this experience?

You know, we have a great friendship and understanding of each other. We're both on live TV every night, albeit doing very different things -- even though the Republican debate seems like ["Real] Housewives" every single day. But we have so much fun and it's like getting to travel around the country with a great buddy. We laugh a lot, and I love making him laugh. He is so fun. First of all, he has got a great giggle and I love making him laugh and entertaining him. And we are so different. We just announced Austin and New Orleans in June, and we've got St. Louis in October. They are just dates that I look really forward to in my calendar and I know that he does too and we just have fun. I don't know how to explain our relationship because we are like opposite ends of the brain.
