The final "Rogue One" trailer is here

Final "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer debuts

The latest -- and last -- trailer for the new “Star Wars” prequel, “Rogue One,” offers even more clues as to the film’s plot.

With two months left before the release of the latest installment in the blockbuster 39-year-old franchise, fans are eager for more details about the film, which takes place before the events of 1977’s “Star Wars: A New Hope” and chronicles the mission to steal the plans to the first Death Star.

The film features an eclectic cast led by Felicity Jones (“The Theory of Everything”) as Jyn Erso, a reluctant rebel fighter and the daughter of a scientist (“Hannibal” star Mads Mikkelsen) who may have something to do with the design of the Empire’s new super-weapon.

The cast also includes Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
