"The Crown" trailer teases Netflix's look at young Queen Elizabeth II

“The Crown,” the latest high-profile series from Netflix, takes a new look at reigning royal Queen Elizabeth II.

Written by Peter Morgan, the man behind Helen Mirren’s Oscar-winning turn as the same monarch at a different age in “The Queen,” the series adapts the young life of Elizabeth (Claire Foy), covering her marriage to Prince Philip (former “Doctor Who” star Matt Smith) and her ascension to the throne in 1952 following the death of her father, King George VI (Jared Harris).

“For better or worse, the crown has landed on my head,” Elizabeth says.

And there’s only a bit of wait before seeing if it is for better or worse, as the entire series will be available November 4, 2016.
