"The Chew" co-host Daphne Oz welcomes a daughter

Daphne Oz -- a co-host on ABC's daytime culinary show "The Chew" and the daughter of medical talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz -- has given birth to her first child.

A statement from ABC said Daphne and her husband, John Jovanovic, welcomed the baby girl Wednesday evening in a New York City hospital. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long.

"Mom and baby are doing very well. We feel so blessed," said John. It is the first grandchild for Dr. Oz and his wife, Lisa.

Daphne first revealed she was expecting during the season 3 premiere of "The Chew" last September and she's currently on maternity leave until a planned return to the show in late April.
