Cops: 3 dead, 1 critically wounded in shooting at Texas home

CROSBY, TEXAS -- Officials are investigating a deadly quadruple shooting at a home located northeast of Houston, CBS affiliate KHOU reports.

Witnesses reportedly told Harris County Sheriff deputies a masked man came to the front door and pulled a gun. The homeowner tried to push the man away, but the suspect started shooting, according to the station.

Four men inside the house were wounded. By the time first responders arrived, three people had died. One was listed in critical condition in the hospital, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

A motive for the crime isn't known, according to the station. As of 4:45 a.m. Friday, deputies were still investigating the home, KHOU reports.

After the shooting, the suspect allegedly fled in a silver or gray Nissan.
