Cruz supporters: He should have endorsed Trump

CLEVELAND -- A majority of the Arizona delegates at the Republican National Convention were supporters of Ted Cruz, but bound by state law to cast their ballots for Donald Trump, who won the popular vote in the state.

After Cruz's controversial speech on Wednesday night, some of those supporters are speaking out.

Scott Pelley spoke with Arizona Republicans Lawrence Schiff, Ian Murray and Kathy Petsas about how the speech played out in the Quicken Loans Arena.

"I thought it was a shame that there were people booing," Petsas said about the reaction to Cruz's speech.

"He was dancing around the issue of endorsing him," said Schiff. "People were so mad ... I think so many of those people, even the 'Never Trumpers,' were saying 'Donald is shining for me.'"

Murray told Pelley he wants to hear Trump lay out a clear vision in his country tonight so the party can move the country forward.
