Taraji P. Henson to host "Saturday Night Live"

Gayle King's take on season finale of "Empire"

Get excited, "Empire" fans -- Cookie Lyon is coming to "Saturday Night Live."

Taraji P. Henson will host the sketch show's April 11 episode, NBC announced Thursday.

What’s behind the success of “Empire?”

The actress also (excitedly) shared the news on Instagram, writing, "DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!!!!!"

This will be Henson's "SNL" hosting debut. Mumford & Sons will be the night's musical guest.

Henson stars on the breakout hit "Empire," which aired a drama-filled season finale last week watched by 17.6 million viewers -- making it the most popular finale for a television drama's first season since "Grey's Anatomy" in 2005.

The week before Henson's hosting stint, Michael Keaton will take to the "SNL" stage on April 4, with Carly Rae Jepsen making her musical guest debut.
