Suspect's wig disguise falls off during N.C. bank robbery

Investigators say they're searching for an armed man whose wig disguise fell off as he robbed a North Carolina bank Monday morning, reports CBS affiliate WRAL.

Police say the man walked into the State Employees Credit Union in Wilson, about 50 miles east of Raleigh, displayed a weapon and demanded money.

The man was captured on video camera wearing a medium-length wig, but it fell off during the course of the robbery. Witnesses said the suspect's natural hair underneath was close-cut, reports the station.

He reportedly fled the scene on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 150 pounds, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and black shoes and gloves. Anyone with information is asked to call Wilson police at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
