Will Super Bowl 50 be Peyton Manning's last NFL game?

Eli Manning on Peyton's Super Bowl moment

It's a question Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been fielding as of late: Will he or won't he retire after Super Bowl 50?

His younger brother and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning told "CBS This Morning" he doesn't have the answer, but whatever Peyton chooses, "he can't make the wrong decision."

"It'd be a pretty sweet finish if he could win on top, win a championship, and kind of sail off into the sunset," Eli said Wednesday morning.

The Super Bowl is a family affair for Peyton and Eli. Counting this Sunday's Super Bowl game, the Manning brothers will have played in six of the last 10 Super Bowls. Peyton, who is arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, won a Super Bowl title in 2007. Eli earned his two Super Bowl rings in 2008 and 2011.

It comes as no surprise that the brothers have shared tips on the Broncos' opponent, the Carolina Panthers, led by the young, superstar quarterback Cam Newton.

"[The Panthers'] defense has obviously been playing outstanding all year. They have a great challenge in slowing down that Carolina offense and Cam Newton, who's playing at a great level of football right now," Eli said. "And then from an offensive standpoint, they're gonna have to run the ball well, have to play smart, can't turn the ball over. Can hopefully jump out early on them and get a little lead and see if you can put a little pressure on that Carolina offense to come back."

Eli also said he could see Newton crowned as the NFL Most Valuable Player this year.

"In my opinion, you don't go 17-1 and not have a great player, and so I think Cam could definitely be the MVP," he said.
