Sunday: Hillary Clinton, Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, and Rand Paul

The new year began with a flurry of activity in Washington and on the campaign trail, and this Sunday, "Face the Nation" will bring you the latest on both fronts.

With the Iowa caucuses just weeks away, we'll talk with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about how she's hoping to strengthen her position before voters head to the polls. She's the frontrunner nationally, but polls show a close race in Iowa and New Hampshire. How does she see the contest shaping up?

We'll sit down with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, in South Carolina, where the speaker and Sen. Tim Scott are hosting an anti-poverty summit for Republican presidential candidates. We'll ask him what he's hoping to accomplish with the event.

The speaker also notched a big win this week, sending a bill repealing large portions of Obamacare to President Obama's desk - but how can he affect real change while Mr. Obama holds the veto pen? What does he think of the president's recent executive action on gun laws? And how does he see the GOP presidential primary shaping up?

Meanwhile, as the GOP race kicks into high gear, we'll hear from two Republican candidates - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul - about how they're hoping to build momentum. Both are throwing jabs at rivals, but neither is considered a frontrunner at this point - can they change that before voting begins?

We'll also hear from an expert political panel, including CBS News contributor and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, CBS News political analyst and Slate chief political correspondent Jamelle Bouie, the Washington Post's Ed O'Keefe, and USA Today's Susan Page.

It's going to be an exciting broadcast, so make sure you tune in! Check your local listings for airtimes.
