S.C. twin toddlers' drowning an accident, coroner says

EASLEY, S.C. - A second 3-year-old twin boy died shortly following his brother after the pair fell into a backyard swimming pool near Easley.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said Caleb Marcengill of Westminster died Saturday afternoon. McCown says his brother, Ezekiel Marcengill, died Sunday afternoon at a Greenville hospital.

The deaths have been ruled accidental drownings.

The coroner says the boys and their family were attending a gathering Saturday near Easley. McCown says a group of children went outside to play after lunch.

Emergency personnel were called shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The coroner told CBS affiliate WSPA he thinks the boys were in the water for about 15 minutes before they were discovered.
