Sigourney Weaver returns to "Ghostbusters"

Sigourney Weaver is the latest "Ghostbusters" alum to join the reboot.

Weaver joins Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson for the upcoming all-female "Ghostbusters movie," which stars Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon.

Weaver played Dana Barrett aka the Gatekeeper in "Ghostbusters" in 1984 and "Ghostbusters II" in 1989. It is unclear if she is to reprise her role or if she will play a different character.

Director Paul Feig was too worried about leaks to keep Weaver's appearance a secret.

He tweeted on Friday: "Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I'll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!"

The movie will also feature Chris Hemsworth, Michael K. Williams and Neil Casey. It is set to release on July 22, 2016.
